4. The girl in the venue box office on Friday afternoon told me to keep checking their website – that the gig would appear there as soon as it had been “confirmed”.

6. Where can i buy tickets for this gig???
   they’re not on seetickets and i havent heard one good review about that site so i wont be using it

7. Got tickets yesterday, from the P House box office (no extra charges, that way).
   Looking forward to it: I’ve seen G S-H about 6 times over the years, and some were great gigs. Last time I saw him he was playing piano, with a harmonica player, in a church here in Edinburgh, at a Canongate book-launch. It was really nice to hear him in such a simple musical setting. Anyway, fingers crossed for an on-form Gil in April! Good to have him back.

8. See tickets /aloud etc are saying Edinburgh is sold out. I have just got 2 from the venues website. Made up. It’s my birthday today and I’ve never managed to catch gil yet and thought i might never get a chance in the uk again.

9. The Edinburgh show is not sold out as commented elsewhere. I got tickets from the venue yesterday and there are plenty left. £18.50 cash at venue (no extra charges).

   Album is the best new music I have heard in 10 years at least. Gil covering Smog – I never thought I would see the day. Magnificent.

    Just got the following email from TicketWeb:

    This is a courtesy email from TicketWeb regarding your booking for the Gil Scott-Heron event at HMV Picture House, Edinburgh, on 21 April 2010.

    Due to the continuing disruption to flights into the UK by volcanic ash, Gil Scott-Heron has been unable to reach the UK. As a result, the scheduled concert by Gil Scott-Heron at HMV Picture House on 21 April 2010 has been postponed.

    We are hoping to reschedule this event and will update our website as soon as any further information is available. Please retain your tickets until further announcements are made.
