Hi Gil,
It’s Winter in America got me inspired to check out your website, and it made me feel really good that you are still producing and publishing work. You were an inspiration to me in college in the 90’s and now that I am returning to my art I am returning to my roots. Would really like to interview you based on what you are creating now…let me know if you are interested!

I AM NEWHERE!
Mr. Gil Scott-Heron is a Blessed man. His knowledge and personality are one of a kind. He is God’s work of Art!
Looking for a CD version of “Real Eyes”. Have been a fan since the ’60s. Saw him in Dallas in the ’80s. Remember when he was married to Brenda Sykes (the actress). I went to Dorsey High. I have most of the other CDs. I had to replace my vinyls.

I am a writer/radio announcer (WCOM-FM, Chapel Hill-Carrboro, NC) (www.wcomfm.org) who host a program called Sunday Night Jazz.
I program Gil on every show because his work has its pulse on what is really going on in world, especially w/ oppressed people of all colors, races, classes and creeds. He is a survivor par excellence. I interviewed him recently and he sounds great and ready to spread the word forever. You dig?
We love you Brotha Gil Glad to see you on the road again! I heard a taste of the new joint, I can’t wait until the release.
Next time you come to the bay stop by the Black Dot Cafe, Village bottoms West Oakland. Have a bite to eat and fresh cup of Black Coffee.
